Lejay
Description
It all started in 1841, when Auguste-Denis Lagoute decided to start a small liqueur company in Dijon. It was Auguste-Denis who came up with the unique recipe for the blackcurrant liqueur Crème de Cassis, which today is one of the common liqueurs in France.
In 1858, Elizabeth, Auguste's daughter, married Henri Lejay, thus combining 2 surnames, which became the name of the company - Lejay-Lagoute.
For many decades, the range of products of the house Lejay Lagoute was replenished with new liqueurs, which became popular not only in France, but also in more than 40 countries around the world. The company has the exclusive right to use and produce the Kir and Kir Royal brands.
