Carpano
Description
The story of the Carpano brand begins in Turin in 1786, when Antonio Benedetto Carpano, after completing his training as an herbalist, invented a formula that was to give the world a new category of vermouth. The recipe combined herbs and spices with nutmeg. Soon Antonio opened his own wine store, which by fate was located directly opposite the Royal Palace.
In 1950, an active advertising campaign was launched to promote Carpano vermouth on the international market. Over the next few decades, the company continued to consolidate its operations by distributing its products worldwide. In 2001, the Carpano brand was acquired by Fratelli Branca of Milan.
